David Morgan, MD of JC Flowers Europe and Asia, asks the question, "How does a chief executive survive in the job?" I think his 10 suggestions are one of the best summaries of what a new CEO needs to look out for. I spend much of my time encouraging and enabling senior teams to do points 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, and ironically, given what he says about management consultants, point 8!
